Twitter…

I can’t believe it. I’ve joined the world of Twitter. After months and months of saying that I wasn’t going to do it either. I think it was a momentary lapse this weekend, but now that I’ve joined… I don’t want to quit either. It’s an evil cycle.

So I’m giving it a shot.

I’m still not sure I understand about why I need to know everything that my twitter friends are doing every moment… or how much I want to share on twitter. But none the less… I will give it an honest to goodness real chance.

If you twitter… feel free to add me (there a “twitter” thing on my blog if you want to follow my every move as well.) If you comment here with your twitter name, I will add you to my list of people I follow (if I haven’t added you already that is!)

Oh yeah… and if you twitter – what is the thing you like most about it?

Another Question for Monday…

Mich saved the day!!! I ran out of question last week (as is the status once again!) and she was wonderful enough to submit another. Thanks!!!

Here’s her question: If you could marry any celebrity (alive or dead) who would it be??

If I could marry any celebrity, it would have to be…

Not only is he alive currently (a plus in my book, not that the fantasy would ever come true), but he’s cute, active, seemingly single at this time and pretty down to earth (or according to the reports… not that I stalked him online this weekend or anything.) According to said reports, he’s really close friends with Lauren Graham… who I totally think is awesome – if nothing else but for her role on Gilmore Girls.

Anyway – back to Matthew, I also love the shows he’s been in… Friends (duh!) and Studio 60 (even though the show didn’t make it more than a year on TV)… not to mention the recurring guest role he had on the West Wing.

So there it is. I totally dig him.

…who would you marry?

**And keep asking the questions – I’ve opened up “comments” to anyone… I just ask that you sign your name to it please. ASK AWAY!!!**

The Champion…

Happy Easter!!!

Today is an awesome day for me as a Christian. I am able to celebrate the resurrection of my Lord from the Grave. He conquered sin, death and the evil one… ONCE AND FOR ALL.

For many years now, I have enjoyed listening to this song by “Carmen” which I believe truly says it all about the fight between God and Satan.

Carmen – “The Champion”

While Satan still attacks us daily, God knows and understands. In the Bible study I just completed, one of the things that Beth Moore wrote was that “Satan hatefully attacks us because he can’t touch God. The closest he can come to hurting God is to hurt one of his children”…. and “God will overlook an attack against you about as readily as He would overlook someone repeatedly poking Him in the eye.”

Or in other words… God isn’t going to let Satan keep attacking. God defeated Satan and today we celebrate just that.

HE DIED FOR YOU.

HE DEFEATED SATAN FOR YOU.

GOD LOVES YOU.

Good Friday…

Today has a deep meaning to me. It is the day that symbolizes in the church of the death of Christ. Each year, I ponder and reflect on this and throughout the day on the radio I heard the song below. It is an amazing song – please listen.
John 3:16-18 (The Message)
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And
this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can
have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his
Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He
came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is
acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death
sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to
believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

Watch The Lamb
Words and music by Ray Boltz

Walking on the road to Jerusalem
The time had come to sacrifice again
My two small sons,
They walked beside me on the road
The reason that they came was to watch the lamb

CHORUS:
Daddy, daddy what will we see there?
There’s so much we don’t understand
So I told them of Moses
And Father Abraham
And then I said,
Dear children, Watch the lamb

For there will be so many
In Jerusalem today
We must be sure the lamb
Doesn’t run away
And I told them of Moses
And Father Abraham
And then I said,
Dear children, Watch the lamb

When we reached the city
I knew something must be wrong
There were no joyful worshippers
No joyful worship songs
I stood there with my children
In the midst of angry men
And then I heard the crowd cry out,
Crucify Him

We tried to leave the city
But we could not get away
Forced to play in this drama,
A part I did not wish to play
Why upon this day
Were men condemned to die?
Why were we standing here
Where soon they would pass by?

I look and said, Even now they come
The first one cried for mercy,
The people gave him none
The second one was violent,
He was arrogant and loud
I still can hear his angry voice
Screaming at the crowd

Then someone said, There’s Jesus!
And I scarce believed my eyes
A man so badly beaten, He barely looked alive
Blood poured from His body,
From the thorns upon His brow
Running down the cross
And falling to the ground

I watched Him as He struggled
I watched Him as He fell
The cross came down upon His back,
The crowd began to yell
In that moment I felt such agony
In that moment I felt such loss
Until a Roman soldier grabbed my arm
And screamed, You, carry His cross!

At first I tried to resist him
Then his hand reached for his sword
And so I knelt and took
The cross from the Lord
I placed it on my shoulder
And started down the street
The blood that He’d been shedding
Was running down my cheek

They led us to Golgotha
They drove nails
Deep in His feet and hands
An yet upon the cross
I heard Him pray, Father forgive them
Oh, never have I seen such love
In any other eyes
Into they hands I commit My spirit,
He prayed and then He died

I stood for what seemed like years
I’d lost all sense of time
Until I felt two tiny hands
Holding tight to mine
My children stood there weeping
I heard the oldest say
Father, please forgive us
The lamb ran away

Daddy, daddy what have we seen here?
There’s so much
That we don’t understand
So I took them in my arms
And we turned and faced the cross
And then I said,
Dear children, watch the Lamb
